Nothing starts from a blank page
Every page begins with something real.
These are the actual photos behind a finished book. Three plush cats, a climbing wall and a real ring became a ship’s crew, a ladder to the sky and a hidden treasure.
And on the sofa-ship sat a crew! Three fluffy cats. “Hello! I’m Lilibell!” “I’m Amelia!” “And I’m Shokoladka!” “Meow! I’m Nika! Can I join your crew?”
How it works
Three steps. About as hard as choosing photos.
- 1
Add photos or videos
Your child, the people they love, favourite toys, the room they play in. Ordinary phone photos and short videos both work.
- 2
Chat about the idea
The studio works like a chat: simple questions, one at a time, and we guide you through every step. A favourite game, a trip, a new sibling — answer in your own words.
- 3
Read, adjust, keep
Read the book on screen, ask for changes, download the HD PDF. Order a hardcover only when you love it.

Any finished book can become a narrated animated film: the same characters, the same story, a voice reading it aloud. For a rainy evening — and for grandparents who live far away.

Made by a dad, for his daughter
It started with Nika.
Nika loves pretending to be a kitten. So I photographed her toys and her climbing wall — and turned them into a story where she really does become one.
Then we printed it as a real hardcover. Custom Fairytales is that same process, open to every family: your photos, your child, your story.
— Nika’s dad, Toronto
Sample book
A birthday coming up?
A book in which the birthday child is the hero — with their friends, toys and favourite places.
What is actually free?
New accounts receive 400 welcome credits. They cover the normal creation steps for a standard 16-page digital book. Reading and downloading its HD PDF are free. Longer books, additional versions and other extra work use more credits; top-ups are optional. Printing and cartoons are separate purchases.
Do I need photographs?
Yes, the studio starts with photos or a video. Use clear pictures of the people, toys or places you want in the story, and only upload images you have permission to use.
Can I change the story before printing?
Yes. Review the story and illustrations, then request changes. Some edits use credits, and their cost is shown before you start. Nothing is sent to the printer until you place a print order.
Is the book made with AI?
Yes. AI helps write the story and create the illustrations from your ideas and photos. Results can need adjustments, which is why you review the whole book before ordering a printed copy.
Which languages are available?
English or Russian. Choose the language in the site’s header before creating your book.
Will it arrive in time for a birthday?
Allow time to create and review the book as well as for printing and shipping. Delivery depends on your address. If the date is close, email us before ordering; we do not guarantee an arrival date on this page.
Are my photos shown on this website?
No. Your uploads are used to make your book and are not added to any public gallery. The photos on this page belong to our own family. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
